2 Timothy 2:2
Read 2 Timothy 2:2; Titus 1:5
Helpful Background Information:
2 Timothy is widely accepted as the last of Paul’s letters, written not long before his death—very likely in 67-68 AD. Likewise, Paul wrote Titus earlier in his ministry, very likely in 60 AD.
Both 2 Timothy and Titus are what many call one of Paul’s “pastoral” letters. These are letters that help give the guidelines for living and prerequisites necessary in order for a person to be an elder in the church.
